Originating from Europe and settled in Washington DC in 1980’s to answer the “burnt” feeling trying to satisfy the “system” Add in the many hours learning midi programming on various synths, drum machines, samplers & tone modules under the direction of Bob Bozak and James Ozz initially. Years of creative experiments to emulate the greats on both stage and screen both digitally and old world. Stand out knowledge in todays social networking compilations. Both self and expertly instructed since 1993.
The music is described by Punch Drunk Drummer Eriq “You left the industrial-goth sound and replaced it with some mysterious-other worldly sounding sense of humor funk ” The one constant member is Christian V. (Born
Heidelberg West Germany May 28th 1971) to a multitalented Norwegian Mother and his father an Army Chopper pilot from Bronx NYC who rocked out every night on an acoustic guitar-singing Nitty Gritty, classic 50’s bands and his own Rockabilly originals. Influences are turn of the century European techno, pop and industrial influences. His sister’s disco back from the late 70’s into the New Wave era of the 80’s
A Norwegian uncle playing piano and singing his head off in every summer from ages 1-10. Candlelit reel to reel listening of his quite famous Grandfathers Norwegian Opera. His Mom’s choir practice live from
ages 0-33.
“It began with programming the drums on Megabite” Christian V. remarks referencing his 1st drum machine the R-70, during his 1st band
“Burnt Republic” (1990-1993) when the session drummer would not show. Bass, when the bass player exited the service and then on his own for over a decade upon completion of his Army term. Whereupon, Christian V. Began development of his own one man band or “Megabite/Burntrobot” era (1993-1996) where he then met a classically trained soprano singer named Space girl Z (aka Zoe Levan) “BURNT! Spacepop (1997-2001) was a pioneer of the many electronica/techno duos today and created their own brand of music known today as Technopera. Using the latest platforms of ADAT, DAW's and graphic design to promote themselves singlehandedly. Covering many popular artists via Roland midi groove machines such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, the Beetles and adding live edits, sit in musicians and ethereal vocals to their originals and playing live across the U.S. with concentration in Northern Arizona. Digital and analogue multitrack hybrid set up.
(2002-2006), Remix albums created in Sony ACID and Sony Vegas sutdio with a DVD of music videos finished by Christian V. as a lone producer and began using the original name “burntsystems” once more and as the Indie Record label name to sell on MP3.com in limited press.
From (2007-Present) Burntsystems has completed several albums and multiple visually rich music videos covering and creating many different musical genres while continually striving to shake up the electronic genre and invoke a style that is burntsystems.
A google search of burntsystems reveals many “lost works” found all over the world. Christian V. is now a single father and has played live with Sonic Circuits under a side project, “Angelpirate” in Washington DC
with “Trapdoor Exit”. experimenting with a “Blues Brothers” type of Audible Acidhop that is interested in pineal gland activation through music.
Collaborations are in the DC metro area and currently connected to local Pop/electronica singer songwriter stars, “Dirtstarr” Trapdoor exit, Angelpirate, Jamaal I’madweeb, Jenni Bloodworth, Johnny Graves & the Tombstones and Celeste Starchild” Currently embarked on a Trek with Beatnik Betty and Grimm creating witchrock and bebop that can stop but won't.

Creating remixes for such talent using the latest technological tools.
Christian V. still insists on driving classic cars, attends local singer/songwriter venues to locate new talent and is continually striving to reinvent burntsystems musical style.
